Utility
The ZENITH (ZTH) token serves multiple crucial functions within the Zenith Network ecosystem:
Transaction Fees: ZTH is used to pay for transaction fees on the network. These fees are distributed to validators, incentivizing them to secure the network and process transactions. The fee structure is designed to be affordable and competitive, facilitating the use of dApps on Zenith Network.
Staking and Validation: ZTH holders can stake their tokens to participate in the network's consensus mechanism. Staking involves locking up tokens to support the network's security and operations. Stakers, specifically validators, are rewarded with ZTH tokens for their contributions. This incentivizes participation in securing the network and ensures its decentralization.
Governance: ZTH token holders have the right to participate in the governance of the Zenith Network. This includes voting on proposals related to protocol upgrades, parameter changes, treasury management, and other important decisions affecting the ecosystem. Governance participation allows the community to shape the future direction of the network, ensuring that it remains aligned with the interests of its stakeholders.
Offchain Worker Collateral and Payment: ZTH will be used as collateral for offchain workers to ensure honest behavior and as a payment mechanism for their services. This incentivizes reliable offchain computation and enables dApps to leverage complex functionalities that are not feasible to perform on-chain.
zkTLS Query Fees: Accessing and verifying data through zkTLS may involve fees denominated in ZTH. This creates a sustainable economic model for the provision of this crucial service, allowing dApps to securely integrate Web2 data into their operations.
dApp Ecosystem Participation: ZTH may be used within various dApps on the Zenith Network for a variety of purposes, such as in-game purchases, access to premium features, or participation in decentralized marketplaces. This utility within the dApp ecosystem further enhances the value and demand for the ZTH token.
Network Security: Through the hybrid security model with Polkadot, ZTH will be used to pay for the security service, ensuring the robustness of the Zenith Network.
